ABOUT

Consulting with Purpose

At Sustainable Trail Consultants, our business is focused on providing a range of services to enhance and preserve trails. We specialize in trail design, offering comprehensive expertise in planning, layout, and construction techniques.

Our trail consulting services extend to trail repair, where we implement solutions to address erosion, drainage, and other maintenance needs. Additionally, we offer mechanical trail work, utilizing specialized equipment to efficiently and effectively execute trail projects. Furthermore, our dedication to sustainability is reflected in our trail restoration services, which aim to restore damaged ecosystems and promote biodiversity. Through our comprehensive approach, we strive to provide our clients with the best possible plan for building, repairing, and restoring trails.

Additionally, we are committed to sharing our knowledge and skills with the next generation of trail builders, empowering them with the necessary training through our trail skills education programs. By leveraging our expertise and passion for sustainable trail management, we contribute to better trail management and safer trails for communities and outdoor enthusiasts.

What makes me proud of Sustainable Trail Consultants is the recognition we receive from our peers and clients for our skills and the integrity of our work. We are known for providing valuable and professional opinions in the field of trail consulting.

One of our biggest accomplishments is being selected to rebuild the steps to the top of Christmas Rock at the Flying W Ranch following the devastating Waldo Canyon Fire. The original steps, made of wood and concrete, were completely destroyed along with the historic buildings on the property.

We took on the challenge and created a Grand Rock Staircase and integrated some of the original steps to preserve and honor the history of the Flying W Ranch. Our meticulous design and construction ensured the durability and safety of the new steps while maintaining the legacy of the site.

Our work was so well-received that the owner of the ranch was greatly impressed and had a plaque with my name on it placed inside one of the wooden box steps. This recognition symbolizes the appreciation for our dedication and craftsmanship in enhancing the trail experience for visitors while honoring the ranch's rich heritage.

This accomplishment showcases our ability to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results that exceed expectations. We take pride in our role in rebuilding and revitalizing trails and are continually motivated to make a positive impact on communities and the natural environment.
